Shots are going in the net

If balls are going in the net, the elevator (up/down) actuator is likely having issues. The elevator motion is created by a spinning nut that drives the front leg (a lead screw) in and out. Sticking is typically the result of excessive friction in the nut and lead screw.

  1. Using the app in manual mode, or the control panel in debug mode, move the machine up and down. If it is getting stuck you will hear a high pitched whine when the motor fails to advance. Try with a light to moderate down-ward pressure to simulate the weight of balls. At some point you will hear it skip. If it skips easily you have an elevator issue.

  2. Empty the machine and flip it upside down. Use the app in “manual mode” to extend the front foot as much as you can. Make sure the lead screw is free of debris and ball fuzz. Turn upright and test again.

If this does not resolve the issue (it probably won’t) contact support. We have some updates to the elevator mechanism that should take care of it for you.
